MELAW held its annual event at the Impact Hub Seattle this year featuring Majd Baniodeh, a global refugee activist, as the keynote speaker. The event also featured entertainment provided by Jafra Dabke Team. Middle-Eastern cuisine was served and catered by Daniah's Restaurant.

Former President Dua Abudiab helped the MELAW board host its first annual event in a number of years. The intimate gather was well-attended and an all-around successful evening.
MELAW donated 25% of event proceeds to ReWA (Refugee Women's Alliance)!

Randy Winn presented WSBA's World Peace through Law award to a very distinguished young woman, Alhmahz Negash, who coordinates the monthly MCRC/MELAW clinics and has assisted hundreds of individuals with legal needs who cannot otherwise obtain legal assistance.

Shout out to our wonderful sponsors and supporters:
CAIR Washington, Mix Sanders Thompson, Peau Cochran Vertetis Amala, Washington State Association for Justice, Eisenhower Carlson, Nur Law, Stokes Lawrence, Ryan Swanson, and Law Offices of James S. Rogers.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our speakers, volunteers, and guests who came out to help make this event a great success!
