Despite all odds, MELAW successfully held a wonderful, virtual annual event on June 17, 2021.

President Theo Angelis kicked off our event with a special welcome and thanked attendees who may be zoom-lagged after 18 months. The event was well-attended and thanks to everyone's support,
MELAW donated 25% of event proceeds to TURKCHA!

Esra Usta, board member for TURKCHA, spoke to attendees about the incredible work it does for Middle-Eastern women in need.

Zahra Billoo, executive director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, San Francisco-Bay area office, engaged the audience as she detailed efforts over the past few years around the Muslim Ban and how we as a community can continue to support historically excluded communities.

Attendees enjoyed a tasty Middle-Eastern meal catered and delivered straight to attendee's door by Arista Catering

Shout out to our wonderful sponsors and supporters: K&L Gates LLP, Helsell Fetterman LLP, Mix Sanders Thompson PLLC, Perkins Coie LLP, Pfau Cochran Vertetis Amala PLLC, Christensen O'Connor Johnson Kindness PLLC, Nur Law PLLC, Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt PLLC, Seed Intellectual Property Law Group LLP

A huge thank you to our speakers and virtual attendees who took the time out of their challenging and incredibly busy lives to support such a great cause. See you *hopefully* in-person in 2022!
